This July, the Foothills Theatre Summer Musical Cinderella featured a timeless tale set to the iconic score written by the talented duo, Rodgers and Hammerstein.

| synopsis

Cinderella, forced into a life of household chores by her wickedly cruel stepmother and stepsisters, dreams of a better life. The town crier announces a royal ball at which the Prince of the kingdom intends to find a bride, and Cinderella wishes she could attend. When her stepsisters and stepmother go off to the ball, a Fairy Godmother appears and magically grants Cinderella’s wish. At the ball, Cinderella and the Prince meet and instantly fall in love, but she abruptly excuses herself at midnight, leaving only a glass slipper on the palace steps. After an extensive search throughout the kingdom, the Prince and Cinderella are magically reunited and blissfully married. (source: rodgersandhammerstein.com)

| a note from the director

This project originally began in 2020, just before everything got weird. The world paused and live theatre was silenced. It has been a long two years but here we are with many of our original cast members, along with some new faces too.

I’m thrilled that you’ve joined us for our presentation of Cinderella. It has been an honor to direct this awesome and talented group of folks. This production couldn’t happen without the hard work of many, and I am joined by an incredible team which includes the beautiful choreography of Kim Arnolda, sound and stage manager Christie Harrison, and music direction by the amazing Kristin Graf Sakamoto.

Thank you to Kenny Campbell Sorrentino, Savannah Rose Holbrook, Darlene Templeton, Kitsey Harrison, Roy Jones, Gary Zickmund, George Brown, Dustin Bledsoe, and John Cheek. Break a leg to the cast and are and a sincere “Thank you” for supporting Foothills Theatre. Mike Cheek, Director of Foothills Theater’s production of Cinderella
