Our plein air journey continues with the Foothills Plein Air Painters. Artists of all levels, whether you're just starting or are a seasoned pro, are welcome to join us on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the scenic Golden Road Vineyards. October brings an artistic extravaganza to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The second annual Foothills Plein Air Festival is a four-day celebration of nature's autumnal beauty. Set against the charming backdrop of Grassy Creek Vineyard & Winery and Historic Downtown Elkin, this festival promises a feast for the senses. Join us on Saturday, October 14, 2023, for the Fresh Paint Sale, food trucks, and live music. Plus, everyone, including artists and their guests, can cast a vote in the People's Choice selection.

Mark your calendars for the Foothills Quilters' Annual Quilt Show, a delightful event coinciding with the Pumpkin Festival at Galloway Memorial Episcopal Church in Elkin on September 23rd. From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, you’re invited to admire the exquisite craftsmanship displayed in both traditional and contemporary quilts. Don't forget to cast your vote for the 'Viewer's Choice' award. As in previous years, some of these beautiful quilts will be available for purchase. It's a wonderful opportunity to explore the artistry and creativity of this talented group.
